My first VN was Tsukihime (used to be a huge typemoon fan way back), but my favorite VNs are the ones made by 07th expansion: especially Umineko no Naku Koro ni. Please talk to me about anything 07th expansion but especially Umineko. 
I don’t have a favorite genre in particular, but what I especially like is good character writing.
My vndb is here, but I haven’t updated that in a long time since I haven’t been reading VNs recently. Plus I used to rate things really highly when I was young and ngl I should have rated some things lower than I did. The last thing I read VNs on was my psvita and I still have some titles to read on there.
I’ve tried to make some unfinished VNs before, even last month actually I was trying for Nanoreno but due to IRL obligations I couldn’t get the project out in time. Eventually will be looking for a jam that allows wip projects so I can finish this
